Sunnie is a healthcare industry professional with expertise in launching products and building brands. She is passionate about leveraging technology to improve access to care, democratize information, and maximize the care experience for everyone.  She is a registered dietitian with a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition and Foods.

Sunnie’s unique experience in creating, launching, and building products in health/ healthcare has resulted in opportunities to serve her community and humanity in roles such as: The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Health Data Initiative; Grant Review Chair for the Discovery Infrastructure for Clinical Health IT Apps Cooperative Agreement (Connecting and Accelerating a FHIR App Ecosystem), Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the National Coordinator; Subject matter expert on health innovation for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics National House of Delegates; and in 2016 was invited to join 40 leading healthcare organizations at the White House Summit on Precision Medicine with her work highlighted on the President’s Precision Medicine Initiative Fact Sheet.

She has been recognized as: a Disruptive Women to Watch in Healthcare; Healthcare Leader by Venue and Lead Magazine; 10 Local Women to Watch by the Cincinnati Enquirer; and 7 Health Tech Accelerators You Should Know About, by EMRandHIPAA.com.

Sunnie’s experience and passion fueled the creation of Viable Synergy, LLC an innovation services and software development firm focused in healthcare.

Sunnie's experience in working with over 500 innovative healthcare organizations informed the strategy, architecture, and development of Innovation Station® a secure, cloud-based, mobile friendly content publishing platform for healthcare.  Innovation Station enables organizations interested in creating new sources of non-clinical revenue to identify, peer review, publish, and monetize knowledge and expertise in the form of digital content. For organizations that need content, Innovation Station’s content marketplaces enable them to search, select, and license high quality, validated, and actionable content created by healthcare experts.
