Paul Labbe is an experienced health care leader who works with hospitals, clinical laboratories, pathology groups, and non-governmental agencies (NGOs) throughout the past 45 years, specializing in organization management, leadership development, regulatory guidance and education, and information technology support.
During his clinical laboratory career, as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer, Paul developed strategic initiatives and partnerships to expand diversity of laboratory testing to enhance patient outcomes and reduce patient hospital length of stay. He and his team worked with many IT vendors to ensure interfaces across multiple systems resulted in clear tracking and reporting of patient specimen and quality results. Paul has had numerous successful Six Sigma Black Belt projects.
An educator at the University of Cincinnati, Paul taught management and leadership courses online for over 16 years. As a Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA) international board member, he was a contributor and editor of the Body of Knowledge (BOK).
During 2018–19, Paul implemented work with the CDC, Heart to Heart International, and the US Public Health Laboratories on a $30 million grant to fight the opioid crisis. He presented leadership training at the Population Based HIV Impact Assessment (PHIA) fellows conference in Zambia, Africa.
